Racetech 4009 Widehead Restraint Seat and FIA approved seat rails
I purchased this seat and rails in 2010 for my race car and never got around to installing it due to work picking up. It is still in new condition and has always been stored in my house. After 4 years, I don't think my work schedule is going to let up anytime soon to be able to install this or race/time trial anytime soon.
For those of you who missed it, Racetech seats have been proven time and time again in impacts, particularly side impacts: Safety stuff is not something you want to skimp on. Purchased here: http://www.discoveryparts.com/cgi-bi...cetech&pid=712 http://www.discoveryparts.com/cgi-bi...s_acce&pid=841 The seat and rails would cost you $1700 new. I will sell my seat and rail for $1000. I wanted to try here locally in TX before I put in on some of the other forums. I'm located in Killeen, TX. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. In 3 months these can only be used in DEs, not racing. Shame they sat so long.

That's for SFI seats, not FIA. FIA generally only need a seat back brace added to be continued to be used in racing.
That is a great point though. Last edited by Brent Dalton; 10-11-2014 at 08:25 AM.. |
