Used M3 Engine Parts Car Feeler

So a budy of mine totaled his M3 its an 08 E90, thing of it is the kid had no coverage paid cash for the car and let the policy run out. So know he wants to part the car out. Is anyone doing anything with these engines and trannys ? I am new to the BMW world and was not sure if people where building engines and what not. Anyways just trying to find out if there is any kind of demand for the parts.

How about the E91 fans? They might want model after 6NP's sick ride.

I want the connector that powers the transmission cooler pump, which is going to get cut anyway. Any chance of getting that? And it's not going to be used since the other M3 would have it. And since it's ECU driven, if tranny is installed in a non-M3 car, it'd be removed (or just not used) anyway. Thx.

I fail to see why this would be BS? I am far more suprised no one said how idiotic it is to drive a car without insurance let alone a 50k car. People do stupid things like this all the time.

Don't need anything, thanks though.

You're giving him too much credit. He typed in all caps and then the forum un-capitalized everything but the first letter.

Provide some pics of the car or details on the crash at least. That would probably be a better response to the BS claims... I don't know why you would make it up, but the lack of details makes people suspicious.

Who knows but I believe that several people including myself have requested pictures to verify and none have been provided. Unless he has been pm the "interested" parties I am still going to assume that this is

Dude, really?

Come on man, its the internet. Everyone knows that to drop your guard on the web means to open yourself for all sorts of exploitation. Just look at the "is this a scam?" thread currently on the front page of this forum. Unscrupulous people are *everywhere*. It is you who needs to get your head out of your buttocks and realize this.

What you should do is post some pictures, give more details about the events surrounding the story, and just generally try to build up a repoire here. In short, give us something other than your word that clearly says: "Hey this is real!". No one is going to just trust you outright with a first post like this one, and rightly so. It has nothing to do with whether you are honest or not. It has everything to do with be a wise and savvy individual.

That said, good luck with the part sale. And have a great day.

OK... so if it is real. I have already expressed interest in both the engine and transmission. I asked you if it was DCT.. no response. I did not get a price on either. If you were serious you would have responded no???
