RevShift E9x Polyurethane Transmission Mounts REVIEW

Having also bought the UUC Short Shift Kit with the Double Shear Selector Rod for my M3, it seemed only logical to install the transmission mounts at the same time.
The car having 100k KM on the odo, seemed like a refresh of the transmission mounts was in order, and the motor mounts were already done by the previous owner.

I bought these:

https://revshift.com/collections/e8x...mission-mounts

Specifically the 80A OEM+ feel black version.

In short, the SSK and especially the DSSR were a royal pain in the ass. Especially getting the pins and clips installed on the new DSSR.
I have large hands and even with the transmission lowered, it took honestly over an hour of small adjustments to get the pin thought and clips installed.

Now the RevShift transmission mounts, easily installed, no problem. Fits perfectly in the original location. The problem is, I don't understand their OEM+ qualifier in the part description. At 2250RPMs, the car shakes/vibrates so badly I pulled over to make sure nothing was loose.
These are unusable on the street, seriously! If you use anything between 2000 and 3000RPM, be prepared for migraines in short order.

Time to go back to actual OEM.

I ran the revshift 80A — for a year. They were too much for me as well. I also did not perceive any benefit, but my car is a street car.

For the shifter, the Auto Solutions is viewed as the best for these cars. I have one. I ran a UUC EVO3 with DSSR on my E36 M3 for a decade and liked it.

I only ever tried the UUC SSK, but have heard great things about the Auto Solutions unit.
And like you, my car is a street car. I'm just surprised how inconsistent the vibrations in the car were with the stiffer transmission mounts. At idle, it was imperceptible, but at just over 2k, it was seriously jarring.

It was in the 2-3k range that the NVH bothered me. I tried Rogue engine mounts years ago and they added a little NVH at idle but nothing that bothered me above idle. Did not try both stiffer motor and trans mounts at the same time on the E90. My experience with the E36 has been that stiffer motor mounts are fine (have run up to 75D) but the trans mounts need to stay close stock (80A is fine but 95A is too much). I do run stiffer in both locations on that car.

On the E90, I run 75D rear subframe mounts and they are fine. I run 95A diff mounts and hear a slight whine and think 80A would probably be better.

i just installed mine few days ago and one of the top studs snapped even with very little pressure tightening. Now i only have the passenger side on. It feels very normal at the moment.

I ran the turner solid aluminum subframe mounts on my car. No added NVH. I was on stock Diff rubber. The feeling of the rear end was awesome after the solid mounts.

I've only bad experience with Rev shift. Garbage company. I wish people did a simple google search before getting any of their product and read about their poor quality.
