**Active Autowerke E9X M3 Performance Air Filters**

Dear Board,

The AA performance filters do not have the charcoal element like the factory filters. We have picked up 5-7 rwhp on our Mustang Dyno on our shop cars.

Our filters are dry filters.

IE: the M5 and M6's come with a standard air filter and a secondary charcoal filter. We normally remove the secondary charcoal filer and pick up a few horses.

The M3 has a filter which is basically a 2 in 1, and contains a charcoal element. Our filters do not have this charcoal element and this allows the car to breathe better and make some horsepower.

We have sold out of our first 3 batches. I currently have 35 available to ship immediately. Contact us directly via phone to place order.

$69.

Are they cleanable so we can reuse them once they get dirty?

If they are dry filters then you chuck 'em, hence $69 price. Most oiled are $100+

They are dry filters that should be replaced around every 30k as per BMW, but we say 20k.

It's to meet some kind of emissions regulation, apparently the design of the V8/V10 engine allows for fumes to back out through the intake tract. So the charcoal filter was placed in the intake tract to remove the fumes. On the M5 and M6 the charcoal filters are separate from the air filters, and the first mod anyone does to those cars is to remove them - good for 5 to 10rwhp.
