Anyways good luck to you. Don't see how a kit with 10-15 track days should be sold 5-10 percent under new market cost. All you people disagreeing you can buy it yourself.
Lets clear things up here a bit. ESS is selling their 575 kit right now with the polished black manifold for $8,990 (which is their sale price). Add tax and you are at $9776.63. This does not include installation. If your local shop gives away 6-8 hours of install labor for free, then lucky for you.

I'm selling my kit for $6,800 and you still need to buy software which is about $1000. I'm not sure if you need to pay tax on it, but for the sake of being fair lets add that. Total cost for my kit is $7,887.50.

So a new kit will cost $9,776.63 and my kit will cost $7,887.50. That's a 20% savings right there. And if you must add $1000 in labor to buying my kit the savings is still 10%. All for a kit that has been on my car for 3000 miles, exactly 2 months, and has seen 4 track days in that time.

Can you give details on who is selling the kit for $8,295 (+ $1000 for paint) installed? Is there no tax involved? Seems like everyone on this forum should jump on that deal if it's that good for a new kit.

Here is ESS's special pricing...

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=741031

$8k, free install, no tax + $1000 for paint = $9k

You are selling for $6.8k + $1k for tune = $7.8k

Assuming someone lives close enough to ESS or one of the other sponsors that run similar deals, you are still saving the buyer over $1k. If the buyer does not live near one of the sponsors that offer free install and no tax, you are saving them the cost of install as well.

I think $6.8k is a good starting point for an OBO sale. Good luck with the sale. The black edition looks great.

There are ways to get around tax. When I was inquiring to buy new I was only going to pay tax on labor. The parts where being shipped to me out of state.

I should just keep my mouth shut but your comparison numbers above for the used kit do not include labor...

FYI - ESS has a 2 year non-transferrable warranty.

FWIW - I love the seller's kit and expect that whoever buys it will be very happy with the end result.

Well as others have mentioned that deal from EAS is now gone. Everyone has to pay for labor unless they are installing it them self.

I really don't understand all the bashing on the price in this thread. As I recall a few of these kits went on sale last month for $5,500-$5,800 with the basic manifold, 4 times the mileage, and every one was head over heels for the price. This is basically a new kit with a pristine Black edition manifold at $1,000 more.

Great Price OP, GLWS

I agree. I was trying to help out the seller, but someone still complained about me not including install for the used kit. I installed the 600 kit myself in about 8 hours. I am sure the 535 kit would take about 3 considering there is no IC, hardly $1000 worth of labor. Great kit, decent price, enough said.

I guess shops pocket a lot of money on install. I was told 1000 dollars for install. If you want it done by a reputable shop. You're at their mercy.

What does it matter how many track days are on the kit? Its not like its a set of tires. So much hate...its a great kit for the money...wonder how one would run with the 575 pulley...hmmmm...

If he wants to sell it for $19k or $50k who cares, it's his and that's what he is selling it for. If you think it's too high then privaetly message him and explain. DOn't poop all over his thread. haha. Honestly, if I had the money then I would throw you an offer. GLWS
