Anyone familiar with sub-leasing?

anyone have experience with this?

sub-leasing: contract b/w two parties to keep the car under my name with the other party driving the car and responsible for it for a certain period of time

i was totally against it because it just seems like if the other party takes off then the contract is pointless but now they said we can go through a company to have this done.

you should not do that. just have someone assume your lease. too risky, to BMW u are responsible for the car.

BMW will hold you responsible if you unload the car through lease trader?? Or if you sub-lease? I've been thinking of moving up to an X5 4.8 as the fam grows, but I have 2 more years in the 335.

with lease trader, i'm assuming they transfer the lease since they do ask for credit checks and lease account information. sub-leasing is different because the car still stays under the primary owners name with someone else driving it.

if you have someone else assume your lease through BMW financial then no, they will not hold you responsible. there is now someone else they can go after.
