Vortech T-trim supercharger coming

Vf-engineering posted some more pictures of development under way on their supercharger.

The blower used is the Vortech T-trim. This same blower, on the e46 m3, gains over 150 wheel at just 5.5 psi.

The shop car is a DCT so we will have our answer soon as to how much power the DCT can take.

(small photo, I know, but this is all they posted of the blower mounted)

To get an idea of the size of the T-trim vs. a rotrex:

Who knows how long until it is finished but gives us something to talk about! I'm just happy they already started.

Is this kit going to be something one can get without venturing into internal supporting mods territory?

Yes, just like their Stage 1 and 2 kits for the E46 M3.

Well, ESS is supposedly working on theirs but who knows. Chances are they are though.

Active I bet is going to start on theirs.

I am interested particularly in VF as they seem to be way ahead of everyone else and using the best blower available. The thing is a monster yet efficient. Not to mention they are just down the street from me, which is awesome.

Man I would love to go the FI route, but Im having a hard time swallowing 15k, especially while under warranty. But I hope quite a few kits come out and I'd like to see peoples experiences first with install, reliability and overall assessments of the kit. My goal, dream is a better word is to be in the 450-500whp range. So I'll be keeping an eye on this kit as well as what Active's plans are.

Why does everyone assume specs and pricing with products based on someone else speculation.

Sticky is a buddy of mine, but all he said was in past experiences with OTHER kits they're priced this way.

There could be a chance that these companies can come out with a kit for under $10,9,8 etc too.

We would all love to do that, but under 15k installed for the supercharger looks pretty good compared to 35k for a stroker with less power. You can't exactly remove a stroker and sell it later either.
