That's the plan!

Do you think the dealers would be able to do the delimiting? Or will we have to get the higher rated tires right off the bat?

Some dealers could do the de-limiting. I'm sure Dinan will have the software available and most dealers can install it. Don't know if they will handle tires or not. Do you plan on leaving the dealership and immediately hitting 183mph?

I'm guessing there will be a break-in period so I don't know what the rush will be.

Nope, and thats why I asked....I was just wondering if we would be able to change out minds if we decide to remove the limiter 6 months down the road

This is possible on the M5 and M6. So it should also be working on the M3.

Best regards, south

The dealers won't be able to do it. You will need an aftermarket ECU tuner.
  • Active autowerks
  • Turner motorsports has a piggyback module
  • Dinan is still working on program for the M5 / M6
I believe the delimited cars from the factory will only be available in Europe like the M5 / M6. But lots of tuners in the US.
