What is the downside to running a 19x10 front rim?

I am considering this for the front 19x10 ET25. Other then the possibility of it rubbing, are there any other downsides to running this setup?

It has the potential to be heavy. And if you put fatter tires in the rear it could offset the balance of oversteer/understeer.

You might run for track purposes as a square setup.

what tire ill you go with?

i assume 265-30...

you will rub.. but not bad..

i am running a 9.5 front +23... with a 10mm spacer.. and rub slightly.. but not very bad at all.. and only in the middle of the fender liner.... maby just 2mm...

the setup you want is defiantly doable...

Im doin a 19x10 rear and 19x9.5 front. I want the biggest tires I can go w/o making it rub, etc. I like what King Tut did but I think its a little much for me. Suggestions on sizes or just go with the norm??

As long as you go with a 285 or so in the back the handling should be about the same since you will be maintaining that +20 difference from front to back.

The handling will improve (reduce understeer). Turner offers a square set-up like this. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...L-TIRE-PACKAGE

The people at Turner are being jerks about those 18X10 wheels they are selling. According to Doug they won't tell anyone what the offsets are because they don't want somebody else to copy their wheel. What a stupid attitude to take. People spend money on a lot more than wheels. I've spent many thousands of dollars with Turner, none of it on wheels. But with an attitude like that, I might take some of my business elsewhere in the future.

I'm not sure why companies do this - the info is bound to get out there sooner or later. In Turner's defense - it could have been the specific CSR you were on the phone with, I've never heard bad feedback like that in the past.

For reference, here's a 19x9.5 wheel with +22mm offset up front during test-fitting. Tire used is a Michelin Pilot Sport 275/30-19 with room to spare.

Hope this helps in your decision-making.

Do you guys think the 19x10R ET25 BBS LM would work on the front witht he car lowered up front by 1.2"? I would use a narrow tire maybe a 255/30 or 265/30

I asked them about the offsets on their square setup on the phone last year, and the guy wouldn't tell me. I don't know if he actually knew or not though. I guess is that they are ET25.
