Keep E92 M3
Get F82 M4
Get the new Cayman S or Cayman GT3 (if that comes to fruition)

Interchange between Cayman and E92 as the weekend track toy.

That's the current realistic garage set-up in my mind at the moment. My wife can pick whatever car she wants for her daily driver on top of these cars

Keeping my E92 M3 (it might make the cut for a BMW TV commercial, so she's even more of a keeper). Buy a house (long story why I still haven't done that yet).

Then in the future, it's a tough one. I've had my heart set on a used 997.1 Turbo (Speed Yellow, black interior, 6MT) to add to the M3.

However, judging from that PS of the M4, I might be convinced to get an M3 or M4GC (depending on how that turns out), and get myself an older aircooled 911 instead as well.

So either E92 M3 + 997.1 Turbo. Or E92 M3, next gen M3 or M4GC, late 80s 911.

P.S. I'm really falling for the new Vette as well. But I have to fulfill my bucket list item of owning a 911 first!

This.

And I will keep both the E90 M3 and the F80 M3 also.

Or ... If I can't bear to wait anymore, I might get the new coupe and that way I have an M coupe and sedan.

Still only need 1 car, so I'll be awaiting the new M3/M4 during the 4-6 years I own that car I hope to add a weekend toy, or reverse it and use the M as the weekend toy, and get something more cost efficient as a DD.

Only time will tell.

M3 is here to stay upgrade the supercharger make it a total beast and later in the future build a 240sx with a Sr20det /LS-1/2 turbo, or a 997 turbo, GTR when the prices drop. Love the vette and Viper but not my cup of tea.

Some nice choices your wife would have.

Some say the e46 would be a nice weekend or track toy. I drove a e46 for 6 years and tend to agree. I'm still sorry I sold mine.

Having driven both the Porsche and the M3 how would you rate each on a scale of 1 to 10?

I'm pretty content on cars for now and have convinced myself not to mess around with more/new cars for a while.

I am, however, starting to dangerously daydream about a new airplane. Probably won't do anything too drastic in the near future since my current airplane is a good fit, but it's hard not to dream... Must. Exert. Self. Control.

Yes it is the new RR. I was able to drive one offroad for a few hours last weekend thru the landrover driving experience. It really is a pretty amazing machine. This picture probably doesnt do it justice.

I'm going old school here. I'm on the hunt for a 1996-1999 E31 840Ci ti use as a weekend / fair weather car.

I'm sure you are asking yourself why not an 850i, Ci or even CSi. Well this car won't be about pure hp but about eye candy for me and the V8 will be more reliable and easier to maintain. The 286hp 4.4 liter engine will do just fine.

What!? a Cayman GT3? Never heard of it. I would love to see whats in it. My plans are 997 GT3 for my next car but I may hold off if the Cayman GT3 is in developement. I had the Cayman S and loved that car. I like the new look, but still wish it was more manly.

could be a picture issue. all i know is that RR makes the best looking suvs on the market but as far as other things like mileage and not falling apart i choose not to get one even though i so wanted to.

What you think about the Porsche Cayenne GTS? If the wife insists on only one car and I end up giving my M3 up, I figure I get the Porsche Cayenne GTS at least I have a bit of fun left at my old age

I had 2 Jeeps (Grand Cherokee one standard edition and the second one was the Orvis Edition). After that I had a Benz M Class, So I know a bit about the SUV line. Still have to drive the Porsche Cayenne GTS. All the SUV's were my business cars.

what would be the difference between a Cayman GT3 and a Cayman R? would they put a 911 engine in the Cayman? it's physically possible but a brand dilution nightmare for Porsche

If BMW can pull it off, I'm sure Porsche can.

Not really a fan of the cayenne. Drove one and its interior was crap. Older model but turned me off to them. Exterior isn't my favorite either. For performance I would choose X5M in that lighter blue with oyster interior.
