avante vs oem M359 difference?

is there a noticeable difference between these wheels? can't really tell them apart besides strength and that one wheel is made by BBS...Do they have the same concave as OEM?

The offsets on the avant Garde are more aggressive. Reduces the need for spacers. Other than that, they are pretty much identical based on a side by side comparison.

Look almost identical but OEM is much higher quality. I wouldn't consider AG wheels considering they are a downgrade from OEM. Don't spend your money to replace OEM wheels with something of lesser quality.

I don't think the OEM wheels look bad. Offsets aren't that aggressive but look good with a mild drop.

I can say that OEM has better finish quality. The AG 359's I had chipped easily. The front wheels had a slightly more aggressive offset, big deal.

so the front off set on the reps would be 18 and 25 rear...how about the concave is it the same I remember my E46 M3 there was a difference between oem and replicas..If they look exactly the same why not plus there is no printing on the outside of the wheels like the csl to distinguish fake vs oem

I run AG's as my track wheels and ZCPs as my daily driving wheels. They look EXACTLY the same. I like the AGs better because I don't need to run a spacer. Quality of the AG's is the same as the ZCPs. Paint on both is soft so both chip easily. Would not waste the extra money for ZCPs if I needed to choose between the two.

No comparision between a replica wheel and a genuine OEM one. They make look alike but that's where the similarities end. Replicas have inferior construction and their manufacturer tolerances vary widely.

My suggestion buy the real thing. Wheels are a safety item, especially on a car with no spare.

Thanks Vic how about the concave mostly on the rear wheels are they the same as the oem. I know the vmr's compared to the original e46 csl wheels where way off.

Everything on the oem is better, paint, finish, construction. It's why they're more expensive. lol

The rears are plenty concave to me,

I've seen cracked AG wheels but never seen a cracked OEM ZCP wheel. As a golf instructor, I've come across fake/knock off clubs and cosmetically, they look the same, but once you cut one in half, it's very obvious. I know clubs are not wheels, but metal is metal, fake is fake. You get what you pay for.

Good review from someone that uses both and not someone just spouting off "OEM is better!"

I assume you mean me. Well just an FYI bro, I have used cheapo replica wheels on other cars, and guess what? They sucked back then and they still suck. Anyone who thinks they are of equal quality is sadly mistaken.

I don't need to be a guniea pig with a $70K car to satisfy folks like you.

Sounds like the OP already made his decision anyways, so what is the point of your post?
