So I've searched this forum and I'm still confused. Here are the specs on my wheels. 20x9 et15 and 20x10 et20. I plan on running PS2 tires. I will be lowered on RDsport springs. Which setup should I go with?

245/30 or 255/30 front
and
285/30 or 295/25 rear

I've seen some recommend the 245/295 setup while others are saying 255/285 setup. What about 255/295?

Below are the specs on the PS2 for comparison with the stock 19"s:

Just by looking at the numbers above it seems like the 245/30/20 setup is almost the same as the stock front. As for the rear I have a choice of going either a .5" taller or shorter in diameter.

with that spec and offset, you will have to run the 245/30-20 front and the 285/30-20 rears should work.

We usually pair up 255 front and 285 rear but i don't think the 255 is a good option for your front wheels.

Im gonna b honest with u. U have 20 inch wheels, altho they are great wheels and somewhat light, I think throwing ps2's on there is useless. U should save urself 600+ and get nitto invos. Had u gone with 19's would have been a different story. 245/30 and 285/30 should b perfect with ur wheels sizes and specs

Almost every high performance car...

Automakers spend much time tuning the suspension geometry, alignment specs, tires, and wheels to make car handle way they wanted and designed.
Also even some cars(GTR, some AMGs), due to high torque/power output, they specify exact tires to mount to handle its power.
I saw PERSONALLY failure of sidewall due to its power(SL55), and I wouldn't or even our customer to take any chances on high performance cars like M3.

Going to 20in will add some weight on total mass of wheel/tire package, but you still do NOT want to loose "grip/traction" level of what stock tires offered.

I am not being too sensitive about selecting tires but I STRONGLY recommend to get similar level tires for M3.(PS2, Yoko Advan, Conti3, RE050 ect) so your M3 can perform its best even at streets.

U r deff right, but nitto invos r actually really good tires. Grip is on par with much more expensive tires out there. What they may lack a bit on is wet performance, but for the price I think they r top notch. This is with a 20 inch tire though, for a 19" id deff go michelin ps2 or pilot cups

I agree i think the Invos are pretty top notch.... especially for the price. Ride quality is better too......
