Comparo: Stock Exhaust vs UUC/Corsa

Finally got my Corsa exhaust installed today. Picked up over the Christmas break when UUC had 15% off + free shipping.

It's probably not loud enough for some of you ballers, but it sounds good to me. It's definitely louder at startup and at low RPMs. It's hard to tell if it's louder at higher RPMs.

Here is a video clip comparing before and after install:

Sounds great, would love to hear it in person at some point. How is the drone?

Sounds nice. I almost bought that system until I heard that it droned despite the claims that it does not. Do you notice any drone?

I noticed a resonance node (throbbing) at around 85mph but I haven't driven it long enough/at a consistent speed to notice yet.

nice!

Keep in mind that this exhaust takes about 2000 miles to break in. It will mature into a louder deeper sound while still maintaining that 'exotic' howl at mid to high RPM.. When you install this exhaust, it will sound much quieter before it is broken in- trust me!

regarding the drone- this exhaust does NOT drone.... lots of people mistake increased volume for drone. If this exhaust drones, then EVERY other exhaust on the market drones too....

I actually got to hear it from outside the car for the first time today (well, I just installed it yesterday)...had one of my coworkers rev it while I stood behind it. Sounded GREAT. If it gets deeper over time, all the better!

Hey Gladius

Is it possible to get some close up pictures from the rear. I curious to see how the tips look on the car. Have you heard what Meisterchaft GT Racing sounds like in comparison to the corsa.

Thanks

G

ONce the weather clears up and I wash the car I'll try to get some pix. I need to get under there and tighten everything up since it's heat cycled now as well, so I can fine tune the alignment of the tips.
