extremely disappointed with BMW NA
i needed to switch the paddles from + to - and vice versa. I need to do this because of my disability only allows me to down shift with the right hand while braking. I can;t use the center gearshift because it would mean I have to take the hands off the wheel. I had this done with my e46 smg. So I figured I need to talk to BMW NA as I did before on E46. Well to cut a story short, the answer was "no". We cannot do any alteration. When asked why, they just said "the Tech people said so". I'm extremely frustrated and was wondering when you guys though of it.

I will try to get in touch with him, but BMW NA said if I did anything that they could and probably void parts of my warranty |

This would be very worrisome with some of the teething problems with the DCT. Did you get the dealership to put their agreement in writing?

I agree. I've heard in the past that BMWNA was very accommodating to people with disabilities. You should politely escalate your issue.

send an article in to Rondel Magazine just posing the question and the response and ask for help. It may get a different look.

This is very simple to do, you simply need to change the wires from what I remember.

Keep asking, do not give up. Talk to the CEO if you have to, but the last thing you don't want to do is stop asking. Good luck. |

I have talked to the manager supposedly, but I will try to keep going. Where do I go though? The person keeps saying there's no where else or anyone else to talk to.....

Should have gotten that in writing, cause if you had, you would have a VERY HAPPY attorney taking your case right now

This is actually very easy to do for somebody that is mechanically inclined. You would just need to swap the wires in the steering column and/or wheel to give the resistance to the other wire.
