Thanks buddy. I re-processed it slightly. I ran it through PRIME noise reduction, which is part of DxO Optics Pro (took seven-minutes for one image) lowered Black levels 3 points and raised Saturation 3 points. You probably can't see the difference. I have to look at the Original size file to really see it clearly, but here it is:

Kevin, you have to get in close with brown birds. They actually can be quite interesting when you start showing their details.

This is true but Robins and Sparrows can only be so interesting. Other than hummingbirds or hawks the only colorful thing I've seen were possibly some juv. Cedar Waxwings.

Edit:
Or go on vacation.

After a nice meal of fresh Impala this leopard felt the need for a little rest and relaxation. Botswana, Africa.

Decent intersection of bird flight and weave and wobble. Steady hands for sure. By the way, is that a dust bunny in the lower right quadrant?

Thanks.

Yes, a new dust bug showed up this weekend. Hopefully I can just blow it out.

For me, the raptors are just naturally all over the bay area and central valley here. I will drive up to 2 hours to go take pictures though.

We get a few bald eagle sightings, but nothing like Dave gets in Colorado, but the guys who live along the Mississippi have really have a field day with them at the damns and locks along the river.

It's seal birthing season all along the Northern California coast. Both harbor and elephant seals are on the beach. Pt. Reyes is a great place to see them, along with the huge herd of Tule Elk that graze right by the side of the road.

I just browsed some Flickr groups of the local parks around here and started to learn the places near me that offered good wildlife viewing.

As for the leopard, that is a bit more of a trek

Current events have reminded me of our business trip to Moscow in 2005. Here's a few from from their Tomb of the Unknowns, which is just outside the walls of the Kremlin.

Nice shots, IRide. I've never understood that silly exaggerated style of marching. Just looks dumb.

Yep, many things done for show have zero practical applications!

I can't get the goose stepping from the Nazi marching out of my head so by default they all look like Nazis. As for zero applications, how about the black Qtips of the British?

There's an active Morro Bay group on Flickr. Besides displaying their pix, they go on whale and seal shooting events and have other meet-ups. You might want to join and hang with them some.
