My parents used to live right behind that hospital. When we moved there it was our house and just another in the whole area. All hills and barley any roads... How things change in 15 years.

OK I have a new favorite sounding exhaust from listening online:

The Meisterschaft GT with the SR pipe

Anybody heard it? Got it?

I have a feeling Dev is about to rip me for liking this exhaust after seeing him in quite a few posts... thats ok cause I am not opposed to hearing both sides of the story

LOL, I'm not going to rip you apart, but I'll give you my honest opinion.
The Meisterschaft sounds greatly, definitely one of the most aggressive on the market. It looks nice and shiny, while making one of the best sounds for an exhaust. I honestly think it sounds amazing, but in my opinion, it's not that great if you factor all the aspects into it.

For example, how much is the meister? >$2300? Definitely not a bargain. If it was more reasonably price (Hardly any are, I know right? lol) it wouldn't be so bad. For this price, there are so many better exhausts out there: Gintani, Eisemann, etc, just to name a few.

Also, when choosing an exhaust, three things come to my mind. In order of highest to lowest: Sound, quality, and performance. I know the last is relatively small just because it's a muffler and won't produce much gains, but it's still a factor to throw in.

I don't hate meister, but I do despise it quite a bit. There's this one douchebag that is a total fanboi for the exhaust and he kept personally attacking me because I laid out the truth. I know it wasn't any new news, but still, many of the people are unaware of how shady of a company meister really is.

Back to the fanboi: The ironic thing is is that he sold his exhaust because it didn't make any power and constricted his RWHP gains (he added an xpipe from gintani) and he wasn't getting the gains he was looking for. Hmm yet he still praises the exhaust.

Many of the e9x M members don't understand how meister royally screwed 335i owners. I was around on e90post when it all went down. It reminds me of the latest 360Forged scam that has been going on recently. Meister ripped of their customers and sold them some shit muffler that was made in some foreign country, I think China. The exhaust probably cost a max of $500 to make yet meister committed fraud and put the 'Eisenmann' name on them and sold them for around $2500. Very shady thing to do.

I don't want to get into too much detail, but feel free to ask me about it at the meet Saturday.

In the end it's up to you to chose what exhaust you want, I just figured I'd make you aware of the situation meister has laid upon previous BMW owners, I just don't think it's fair of how their still a sponsor on this forum regardless of how they screwed over so many people.

If you do get the exhaust, I'll be one of the first wanted to hear it

Good luck in your choice!

Ok here we go:

1. You are right in the 3 things to look for in an exhaust. Obviously I have still only heard internet clips but after I have also decided on an exhaust after hearing it in person, sound is definately the deciding factor for me. It would be nice to get some gains out of it but if its a loudish exhaust and I have to hear it all the time it has to put a smile on my face because thats what I really care about. I know that alot of people are now thinking I dont care about performance. I do. As long as the exhaust doesnt diminish performance Im fine tho. Because there are other things I can do to gain power alot cheaper and they dont make a noise and you cant see them so the performance numbers are all that matters so they are not so hard of a decision on choosing.

2. As far as the whole scamming people thing goes. Thats awful. There is no way around it and it sucks. But now that we are down the road if it ends up being my favorite sounding exhaust then I still dont think it would hold me back bc I have watched plenty of companies go from being the scum of the earth and then produce a great product after being caught bc they have to make up for what they did. So if I can be on the positive side of that it would be great.

3. There are always fanbois but to me the exhaust is very personal. I try not to even read posts that become biased bc you arent getting anything out of them except a heated opinion. You cant learn anything from someone on tilt.

4. I didnt realize it was so much more expensive. But lucky for me I am patient and am not too good to buy a used exhaust as long as it is well taken care of.

5. I love the sound of Eisemann as well so by saying I like the GT from Meisterschaft I am not saying Gintani, Eisemann, etc suck. I know alot of people when it comes to these specific models pick a side and it becomes a gang war...

SO, I still gotta hear it in person but if it sounds as good as I think it will Id be down to hold out for a good deal, and that goes for whatever exhaust I land on.

^^ I don't know if anyone will have the GT, but Andrew has the GT2 which is somewhat similar. It does sound great.. But you're right, in the end it's your opinion as far as purchasing the exhaust goes..excited to see what you choose!

Ya I know they are similar but from listening online I really like the GT better than the GT2. I know its online but there is a pretty big difference to me. Ill have to check it out again between those two.

I prefer the V710, V701, and V713 to the V718's. I believe the AluFelgen SF-71 is a somewhat better wheel quality wise than any of the VMR's, and it is a pretty good cast copy of the RAC RG63..

The SF-71 is a very similar looking wheel to the V710. They are low pressure cast vs. the gravity cast VMR's and are a bit lighter.
