I wanna start this poll to answer the nagging question once and for all. Who is the stig? Is he Michael Schumacher as shown on episode 1 this season? Is he some other F1 driver? (but when ever an F1 driver is put in a reasonably priced car Clarkson did comment that they do take different lines from the stig's) Is he a driver from other race series? Is he even the same person every episode or is he a different person every week? Are they factory driver that came with the test car? What's your take?

It's Ben Collins, not really much of a secret. At least it's him most of the time. Sometimes it's a special driver, like for the Renault F1 car it was Heikki Kovalainen.

Stig has bigger cojones than Clarkson, you see him drive that Koenigsegg CCX straight into the tires, the guy drives like a cold blooded killer

No, he is some ex F1 guy, they don't have blood, just 40wt synthetic oil

Well i dont think it is Micheal Schumacher b/c in the one episode the stig drove the F1 Renault, i doubt in Schumacher's contract with Ferrari it said he can drive another F1 car other than a Ferrari.

well...that was the "black" stig who was "killed off" in top gear before....
however, he might still be working as "the stig" now too....

they killed the character....but no one said he got fired.....

or i missed something in between

perry mccarthy was black stig. he wrote about it in his book. this is the new stig
