Very Positive 1200 Mile Service Experience

I am happy to report that my break-in maintenance was completed with perfection (oil change, diff fluid change, and 6MT transmission fluid change).

On top of all that, the service was completed proactively. My M3 had just arrived at my dealership for re-delivery and my dealer made sure everything was taken care of for me in advance without an appointment.

I am bringing my 11 e93 in for the 1200 mile service today (6MT) and will be sure to mention the 3 major fluid changes (engine, trans, diff). Question is -- after all three fluid changes does the car get smoother, do you notice any difference?

Any other items I should mention??

Dont they know what the 1200 mile service entails? Do all dealerships not perform the same service at 1200 miles? Curious as I will be there shortly.

The key thing is to make sure you get all the appropriate fluids changed:
6MT - Oil, Differential, Transmission
DCT - Oil, Differential

Based on various threads, people have experienced different levels of service at the 1,200 mile point.

In my opinion, if it isn't on the parts summary then they didn't do it. Just in case they try to tell you that something is part of shop supplies (e.g., transmission fluid).

I don't know that I have felt a difference in the "smoothness" of the car, but that is probably because there was a five week period between when I dropped the car off after ED and taking re-delivery. The service was completed proactively for me before I took re-delivery.
