heading to the track on Thurs!!!!

I'm taking the day off and heading out to thunderhill raceway on thursday

www.hookedondriving.com is putting on the event, my buddy's porsche salesman is an instructor out there

should be a great time out there!

I may or may not have pictures of the event depending on the outcome, I better damn well have some pictures!

Track was a BLAST!!!!!

here's a small pic of some of the action,

I was very surprised that on the straights, my Z4 (0-60 similar to new 330's) was able to hang with a roush mustang and turbo'd to hell S4. And it absolutely ate everything up in the corners (with the stock bridgestone runflats, same as a 330)

the guy in the mustang went off track twice in the same session, both times I was directly behind him.

we got 5 20 minute sessions with instructors available to ride along (I took one along for 4 of the 5), and they give you rides with instructors in their cars ( I rode in a FAST mini cooper S, stock car but incredible stilled driver)

Put on about 120 track miles, averaged 10.8 MPG
Thunderhill was so large, there were 4 places I hit 100, and max speed on the front straight was about 115.

anyone in the bay area should look into www.hookedondriving.com they put on a nice track event.

looks like an expensive new habit!

oh wow. Glad you had so much fun. Just by looking at those pics, I can already tell how fun it would. I can't wait to get involved in track session next summer.

And beautiful Z4 you got there. Any plan on taking 325 at the track?

I used to go pro racing with NASA they also do excellent track days.
