M3 interior trim - post pics here

"Four exclusive trim strips extending through the entire width of the dasboard beneath the Control display and instrument cluster, provide futher options in customising the new BMW M3. The "basic" trim comes in Titanium Shadow, with Aluminum Shadow and special leather tanned in carbon design as well as high-class wood in fine-grain surface design and platane wood in Anthracite all being available as an option." - from the M3 press kit

the language in the press kit is a little confusing but from what i can tell the following are the 4 trim options:

EDIT: thanks to southlight who has read the german press release - it seems the more appropriate interpretation of the press release is:

1) Titanium Shadow (Standard)
2) Aluminum Shadow
3) Special Leather tanned in carbon design
4) high-class wood in fine-grain surface design & platane wood in anthracite.

If you have any pictures of these trims along with various interiors post them here to compare.

looks like its gone. aluminum shadow doesn't look bad though. i'd like to see how it looks against black leather.

Here's a picture of the discontinued extra equipment "Platane" on the Z4. But I really don't know if it's just that wood in black or if there are structural differences...

No love for Titanium Shadow? I know it's 'standard' so it MUST be changed.

I like it.

I like the Titanium shadow. I had the carbon leather in my Z4M coupe.... the stitching at the edges was nice, but otherwise.... "meh" Not for me...

I saw a Fox Red interior pic somewhere here and it had trim too........

It was a preproduction M3 in Santa Barbara, California.

Can someone repost that pic to this thread please....

Also, I would expect the Alum and Titan Shadow trims are indentical to the ones on the E46 M3, so that leaves only one option trim that we really don't know for sure what it looks like........the Platane Anthracite wood....

My guess is BMW came out with this specifically for the Bamboo Beige interior....
My bet is that it is similar in some ways to the Maple Anthracite wood on the 5 series but we'll have to wait and see........

The Alum trim has another grinding (longitudinal).

no. look again. the very first pic in this thread is leather tanned in carbon design. the second pic to which you're referring, is most definitely not.

The second pic is part of the preliminary M3 catalogue where you can clearly see it's the CF design leather. Trust me.

From the press release:
As a further option, Novillo leather can be extended to the lower section of the instrument panel, the cover on the glove compartment, and the side covers on the centre console.

Yes, and if you look at the interior video posted in the video section you can see a "standard" bamboo beige leather interior.
