MS Stage 2 + Dinan Pulley = 349hp

Just got MS Stage 2 intake + Dinan Pulleys installed by EAS today. Nice shop btw.

1st run on the dyno after the install I got 331hp...

Did 4-5 more pulls after that and the highest I got was 349hp.

70 degrees today, 91 oct. '08 DCT.

I can definitely feel more power. But there was a guy with red m3 there that put down 360hp stock! Makes me a little sad that I got one of the "weak" m3s.

I feel like I am now modding to just to chase other stock M3s...FML

Just to make matters worse I put down 361 stock. Lol sorry. But it's nice to know you actually did gain with those mods. Congrats.

OP - it could be something as simple as shitty gas. You can have someone do some logging on the dyno to see what's up. If you really do have a "weak" engine, you can at least run a mix of fuel to bring it up to 93 octane+ and see how it reacts...

My '08 doesn't feel as fast as I think it should be so I'm a little worried what mine will put down.

hmmmm..... maybe your baseline was off to make the gains from the mods seem higher? I don't know... Lot's of stuff going on with dyno's. But dyno numbers are just numbers, it's how the car feels on the road that counts.

My car on a dynojet put down 346rwhp and 259 ft/lbs SAE, I believe STD numbers would be in the 359rwhp range. Here is the dyno, car was bone stock with only 1500 miles on the clock. It was dyno'd at a Mustang shop near me in Torrance called Swanson Performance. I will be dynoing there again soon with my current mods.

BTW, the same day I was there I saw a new 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L manual put down 366rwhp SAE and darn near the same amount of torque.

Might be bad gas or a fault somewhere, you never know. Would be good to get some data logged times to compare.

EAS checked for faults, and found none. It could be bad gas, not sure. But I've always felt my car stock was a little on the slow side (after having driven a few other M3s).

Anyhow, I'm very happy with the performance gains from the pulley and intake.

OP: What correction factor was used for the numbers you reported? SAE or STD?

I just installed the same combo, but haven't had it the dyno yet. My car definitely feels a tad quicker/easier to develop high end speed.

What was the baseline dyno? I'm in the market for an intake (I'm going back to stock) but I want to make sure the intake is making power. Could you post dyno sheets?

Nice gains? From what? I'm reading the OP's post as all of the dyno's are after the upgrades.
