can anyone get great deals or cheap airfare ticket

I am planning a vacation trip with my family and was wondering if you guys know of any places that gives discounts or uses promotional codes to get a better rate on airfare. I plan on leaving from LAX on 9-11 to Fort Lauderdale in Florida. And come back on 9-19 from Fort Lauderdale back to LAX. Do any of you guys work for the airlines and can give me a discount of some sort. I have searched through dozens of sites for the cheapest airfare, but was wondering if anybody had some knowledge of getting great deals on airfare tickets. Thanks

It's next to impossible to get 'discounts' anymore... use kayak.com to multi site search and leave it at that.
I know people who work in the travel agency world and they don't even get anything too fantastic in terms of savings...and usually can't give it to other people.

Hotels, etc are something else entirely different

It worked for me earlier this summer. I made up all my information and the code is emailed to you as soon as you vote. I don't know if it will work for you because your return date is past the window, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it on here in case it helps anyone else.
