Question Harness Bars options?

Hi, about Harness Bars. what are the options for our M3 E92?
I know Challenge has one but cost a little more$$$$ for a bar IMO.

im not sure what the cost of the challenge bar is, but if your looking for something that is more bang for the buck might look into VS Motorsports, I purchasing there half cage and it is def worth it.

challenge bar is about 600. I saw VS in person, it is beautiful, but it cost way more than the challenge, and I'm not ready for a cage at this point.

I wish I was in China, So I can ask a body shop to DIY a bar that only cost me $100 the most.

The Challenge is basically a copy of Sparco's bar.

Those cost almost 3 times the challenge bar.

Do you quality or do you want budget?

I recommended ones that are high quality and have been proven by many members on here. I have had the AE piece and can tell you first hand it is top notch.

I have checked out the VS bar while at Sebring a few years back and can also say it looked factory, high quality as well.

I had the challenge bar installed a few days ago and Yes I had some sticker shock. But after looking at the construction and the way it is built. I think it is worth it, if you do not want to go the caged route. just my .02

Can you post some pic of your side mounting points? Is the install easy enough for a DIY? So far the challenge is the only option.

In that case make them jump in between the cage

I have had a bolt in and welded in half cage in the M3 and it no doubts make it a PITA for daily use. I would only suggest this route if you never use the back seats.

and you can see the mount points on the first picture and you will also need to drill behind the seat for the front section of the cage
