Not sure but episode just aired on speed channel...it was suppose to be a head to head match up between the 302 Boss-laguna seca edition and e92M3...it didn't go to well for the M3

That was a given. The Boss 302 will spank an M3.

adam corolla spun the m3 off track and screwed up a wheel. m3 should run with the boss 302 but a test with 2 non pro drivers really tells nothing especially if they cant complete a lap.

oh its already played at 8pm MDT here... there is a replay at 11, I put it on the DVD-R list :-) The show itself doesn't look that great. I find it hard to believe Corolla as a car guy...

Thank god that was the finale of this show for good. THe m3 did not eve make a comparison as adam took off thinking he had launch control on but did not, so ended up burning out for 10 seconds. Then he tried to shift with the paddle but pulled the window washer/wipers instead so that turned on. THen he spun off the track and broke a wheel within 25seconds. Comparison was over.

Adam is such a joke of a car host. YOu need to have relatively good drivers when they do comparisons that put two different drivers in two different cars. Adam is so bad that it means nothin to compare his time in an m3 v. someone else who is decent in any other car, or vice versa.

It's odd that they would choose an M3, over say a c63 coupe, seems like the c63 coupe would be better hp comparison and more relevant as it is a newer car...

Yes we've all have seen that motortrend comparo but I do remember producers for this show specially looking for a Melborne M3 on forums to do such a test and even saying that the owner of the car would be compensated by getting some open track time, so I'm wondering who's car it is especially since it was modded with front splitter ect more then likely they are member here, I feel bad for the owner and car, now wondering how if they fixed the car ect ect

They showed some lap times in one of their text boxes on the show for another race track and by the same professional driver in both cars. The M3 was .9 seconds faster than the Mustang on that track. I think the bottom line is that the Boss 302 Laguna Seca Edition is an excellent car for the money. Depending on the track one car will be better than the other in stock form. They are very close in lap time capabilities.

The Boss 302 LS comes with Pirelli P-Zero Corsas which are a DOT R-comp tires. I bet if you put R-comps on the M3 its Laguna Seca lap times would drop by at least two seconds. Not a fair comparison when one car is running street tires and the other R-comps.

That was my thought as well. R-comps are good for an easy 2 seconds.

I see many 302's on HPDE track days recently, but I don't find them fast like what the other says, or maybe just the drivers.

Most likely the drivers because the Boss 302 LS is quick on track, especially with R-comps.

On a track like Laguna Seca I wouldn't be surprised if it was 3+ seconds - current issue of Motor Trend has the Z06 Vette with Z07 package + new Michelin PSCs going 6.5 sec faster around Laguna Seca than a standard Z06, and their conclusion was the improvement is due to the switch to R-comps!

Everytime switchs to R-comps, suspension and chassis have to be retuned. It wouldn't work well if you just throw R-comps on a car. The reason why Z07+PSC's worth that many secons is more on the suspension side IMO.

Ha I watched this last night and I was all excited. Then, stupid Adam fucks it all up by messing up the Launch Control, turning on the wipers, spinning off the track and blowing out a tire, probably some rims (looked like HREs), and even messing up the suspension to a point that the M3 couldnt finish the lap much less the comparison.

Way to go jack ass!
