Its not really that hard to find an new E90 M3

No offense but sometime i dont really understand why people dont find cars on cars.com. i found plenty of 2011 new e90 on cars.com. For those who want an e90 m3, go there and search the one you want.

Bottom line is that people are too lazy and want others to do the work for them.

Should people search? Of course.

But of the 47 M3 E90s on cars.com, most are white or black, with a few reds, grays, and intergalogos blues thrown in. If I wanted say lemans blue, I'm out of luck. So while there are some E90s left in the US, if you're looking for something specific, it might be hard to find.

Cant agree more. I always see post that people are looking for AW or JB e90 m3. There are plenty of them out there! You dont even have to stop by the dealer and ask. Just search on the web

While searching for an e92 on cars.com, I have to filter out the e90s since there is so many...however they are mostly white and black ,so if your looking for a different color you might have to dig deeper.

Even so, it's not very hard.

People are lazy, and M3 drivers are a lot more picky than your avg person. But yes, 99.9 % laziness.

I searched the internet for my latest M3 and found just what I was looking for. I even closed the deal by e-mail and signed the dealer quote including faxing the quote back to the dealership after I signed.

I was dealing with two dealerships that had similar cars in there inventory. I let them both know to quote there best price with the discount I can expect. Since besides them I was dealing and comparing prices with another dealership for a similar car.

Both provided the best quote so my decision was easy. Yes one can find what one needs on the internet.

Between autotrader, cars, and ebay motors not to mention BMW's pre-owned site (for pre-owned inventory at dealers across the country) there's always multiple options. I'm not sure it's laziness as much as some people simply aren't as savvy as others online?

I don't get it either. Worth the extra money just for the warranty and free maintenance, not to mention resale value down the line.

resale value of a new car? LOL!!! I bought a 2011 SL550 with 3000 miles and now im trying to sell it, dealer is offering me about 50% of what i paid for my car. Alright thats an sl, here comes the m3. Bought a 2011 M3 E93 brand new and currently with 11000 miles. MSRP was something like 82k and now dealer offered me around 60% of what i paid

What I mean is that those buying a $50k '09 and selling it in 3 years vs buying a new one for $60k and selling it in 3 years, you'll make most of the difference back just on resale value of a 3 yr old vs 6 yr old car.

Too bad most of them have moonroofs. Dealers like to check every box when ordering cars and sometimes it fucks them over in the end when they have high optioned cars on the lot and have to discount heavily to move the cars.

Don't want moonroof and folding seats to save weight? Body rigidity?

Folding seats and moonroof together add over 65lbs (2%)
Rigidity is unaffected by either component, though.

I found my 11.5 e90 M with no moonroof and manual transmission on cars. Worked out great, i only had to drive a few hours to pick it up and got a screaming deal on it.

If i could make a guess... I would say 75% of M3 drivers are not concerned with having the carbon fiber or not. Dont let this forum skew your perception of the average M3 driver.
