It is not for LOOKS.
It is loaded with options like PCCB's. PTV and mag motor mounts. Maybe I am wrong but I think it is going to be priced around 180K. Let me try and bring the facts sheet and post it...

^ I'll pass on the F and L. Too much baby sitting. Love em' but would not own one personally.
GT3 AND one of these!!!! They say base starting price is 159,000 US. After that the price adds up for frills. The meat is already in there. This is a pretty good explanation and look in this vid. IMO these and the non S are one, if not THE, best all around super cars for the money. Above average gas mileage. Decent emissions. Not an overwhelming price. Not abusive to the drivers body. Some what easy to drive near it's limits. WiNk wInK. SHOULD be built like a tank. Blistering performance. Hold their value better than the average bear.

Right.
But. Many of the articles I have read just spew over the new TT with the PDK. And these reviews are from die hard Porsche guys. The shifts are so quick and solid with no loss of spool that it's hard not to opt for it over the manual. I would still look at the non S TT with a manual myself. A few 10ths here and there don't mean monkey poo to me. The n/a bruteness of the GT3 is hard to overlook as well.

The manual is all but died in sports/supercars, in fact the only place on earth that still feels the need express their manly driving ability through the use of a stick shift is the good old US of A, which is kind of funny considering the almost universal acceptance that all 'average' cars come with an auto. The fact is that the PDK which now comes complete with paddles is arguably the best transmission on the planet and in the case of a FI car actually adds to the whole driving experience instead of the opposite.
Is it a case on the more one is pushed in one direction (i.e. automatic) the more one feels the need to go in the opposite direction (i.e. manual)? |

Wow there were some serious buzz words in that video lol.
The more and more I see the new technology in cars coming out the more I long to buy older cars. I'm only 21 and for some reason I think driving is becoming a lost art in new cars no matter how much power or "increased" agility they give them. |

Ultimate Driving Machine. Minus The PDK
I don't care how good the tranny is , nothing will ever replace a true manual. I myself just picked up a S5 Cab that comes with the S-Tronic 7 speed Dual Clutch and though the shifts are lighting fast, i miss a manual transmission every time i drive the car. |
