S.O.S. MeisterScheift GT E90 variant on E92

So I'm trying to figure out what the fitment will look like. Does anyone know what the differential is between the E92 and E90? The Meister exhaust sticks out a bit so you an read the label. I'm trying to figure out if the E90 variant would fit on the E92 and sit flush rather than look massively recessed/funny. The stock exhaust appears to be recessed about a 1/4 inch from the top view, but you can see it from the side view. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a Version 3 (their latest version) E92-specific Meisterschaft GT on my E92 and the tips are actually recessed by about half an inch from the bumper; moreso than the stock exhaust. I don't know if Meisterschaft changed the pipe lengths since the previous two versions (or if the guy who cut the pipes for mine measured wrong), but I was actually a little disappointed that they didn't stick out more. From the pics and videos I've seen in the past, you can at least see the engraved name on the tips. Looks like this is exactly what you want though.

However, there is supposedly a little room for adjustment depending on how far you move the connecting pipes/muffler in and out at the clamping points, but my mechanic said I risked exhaust leaks if they were pulled out any more than they are.

Took some low-light pics:

Oh wow. Thank you so much. It seems as if the e90 would be a bit too short then.

When I had what was supposedly an E90 Meisterschaft exhaust on my car, it looked very similar to JAdamz exhaust. It is true that there is a bit of adjustment but you will get an exhaust leak (due to the slots in the connections) and you have to stretch the rubber hangers which is obviously not ideal. When my exhaust fit like JAdamz, I was disappointed because I had seen pictures of the E92 version where you could read the Meisterschaft engraving on the tips. Also, I have plans to run a diffuser which would make the tips look sunk. When I called GT Haus to determine which exhaust I had, they confirmed that you should be able to read the engraving.

JAdamz, did you buy your exhaust directly from GT Haus? If what they told me is true, yours appears to be an E90 exhaust also.

Interesting...I'm almost positive the box the exhaust came in said E92/E93 on it, and before it was installed in the car I think the engraved "plaque" said E92 as well. Had either said E90 I definitely would have noticed. But no, I ordered it from Vivid Racing, not GTHaus. If this somehow truly is the E90 version I'd really be disappointed. Do you still have the exhaust, or did you resolve it somehow?

Just want to get all pics on one thread for comparison, as every Meisterschaft GT/S that I've seen pics of mounted have looked like the above. I had two employees at Gthaus tell me that my exhaust should fit an E92, m3po was told that it does not. However, it is labeled "E90/93." If it fits an E93, then it should fit an E92. Not sure of the likelihood that it was mislabeled. The only thing I know for a fact is that it fits E90s, which is what the title of my FS states. With that said...

Here is my exhaust mounted on M3PO's car:

Just stuck a camera under the car to see if I could get a pic of the plaque. Best I could get is the "E93" but now that you mention it, I think it may have said E90/E93 and not E92/E93. I wonder if it's just one size (kind of) fits all?

That's the same as my label. I think you are right that it's a one size fits all deal.

To complicate things even more, they have had three different types of labels. From what GT Haus told me, originally, the exhausts had adjustable tips and fit all cars. Those were labeled E90-93 or similar to signify that they fit all chassis between 90 and 93. Then they started custom building each exhaust as it was ordered for the chassis listed on the order. Those exhausts had labels like E90/93 I believe which is totally useless. Now they have exhausts with a barbell shaped canister that fits E92 and 93. Exhausts without the barbell only fit E90s. It's all very confusing and the middle run of exhausts is nearly impossible to tell which car it's designed for without installing it from what I was told by GT Haus.

The GT Haus rep told me that all of their exhausts are designed to have tips that stick out roughly an inch and that the engraving should be visible. This leads me to believe that the E90 and E92 exhausts HAVE to be different.

Lol.. if it fits like JAadamz then I want it, I just dont want any exhaust leaks. For the record Tec you are the man.. I really appreciate your patience. JAdamz is there any way you could confirm the plate is indeed the same? I'm still waiting to hear from GThaus.

Btw.. Jerry at Gthaus was super friendly/helpful. He is the sales manager there. Ill forward this thread to him as well. Hopefully I can get this all resolved within the next day

I sure hope it isn't one size fits all. I won't be buying another one if it is. For $3k+ for an axle back, they can at least be consistent on all chasis.

I have some key measurements from the supposed E90 version and I will be comparing them shortly (hopefully) with one I plan to by that is from an E92.

Regardless, Rekrul, you can achieve the fitment that you want (stock length tips) with tec's exhaust.

Now I'll complicate it further: my exhaust has the barbell-shaped muffler, so that must mean it's the E92/E93 exhaust

I had actually asked them about this specific fact before I ordered the exhaust because I saw differing pictures on their website. They said that the indented version was for the E92 (Version 1), and the non-indented ones were for the E93 (Version 2). Version 1's indent looks like it was actually molded into the muffler and had an hourglass shape rather than the barbell/dumbbell shape Version 3 has. No mention of what version is used for E90s however...

Version 1 (left) and Version 2 (right):

Version 3 looks like this (though this is the Titantium version):

I'll try to get a better pic of the plaque on mine tomorrow to at least settle that mystery...

OMG, GThaus told me the indented version is for E93s only! I've gotten nothin but conflicting information from those guys. They need to get their facts straight and lay off the devil's lettuce.

LOL, they told me that there are currently two versions. Barbell/indented which fits E92 AND E93. Non-barbell/indented is E90 only.

It's threads/pics like these that confuse me:
http://mfestforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2593

Look at the installed pics. The tips stick out enough to clearly see the engraving. That's all I want lol. Is that too much to ask?

If I can without stretching the exhaust and placing excess force on the hangers then I'm sold. I wish things were just clearer... it would save alot of people time and headaches.

Like I said in the PMs, I pushed it out about 1/2" further than it was designed to go (see pics of IB above). If it were to sit where it wanted to (no stretch on the hangers), the tips probably would have been a 1/4" or less shorter than stock. It'll be perfectly fine to "meet in the middle" and push it out about half as much as I did (say 1/4" or so) to get the tips to stock length.

Edit: With it pushed out that extra 1/2", I'd estimate that the tips were 1/4" longer than the stock tips. That's kind of an important piece of the equation for my little mental math problem above lol!

So it would def stick out from the side view? If I didn't adjust anything? I think that's the key to it not looking funny. Like in the second picture of your car. Are you just seeing the tops of the pipes or is that looking at it from an angle into the pipes. I can't really tell.

That one does look like it has better fitment. Although it seems the difference may be an inch or less. Idk, I'm at a loss.
