Even in our VT2-625 kit you can run hard all day long without a functioning IC system. It will pull some power, but it will run perfectly safe. This is essential in any FI system, as you can be sure that a percentage of customers will have some sort of IC related failure (pump, electric, kinked hose or lack of coolant) during the course of a cars life, and if this is not taken into consideration you will have a massive amount of very frustrated customers with blown engines. |

Gives a break to your M3 when it is -30... why do not you buy a snowmobile for the winter, it seems that there are no problems with very cold start

Lots of interest in ESS supercharger kits in this thread, so I thought I would go ahead and announce that I will be removing the VT2-600 kit from my car this week and will be putting it up FOR SALE.
The VT2-600 kit on my car enabled me to set the fastest 60-130 time on just blower with no race gas or meth! Send me a PM for any questions you might have. ESS is a great company and I have very much enjoyed working with AJ and Roman! They really take pride in their product and take care of their customers!

I think about the SC kit everyday. My biggest concern is the warranty. Makes me a little nervous to have BMW come back and tell me they are not covering something because I have this installed. Not trying to thread jack but what is everyones experience with this?

Don't expect any warranty coverage from BMW on drivetrain components (i.e. engine, transmission, differential etc.). I have had no issue whatsoever with BMW covering non-drivetrain related components (my most recent issue was electronics with daytime running lights, which BMW covered under warranty no problem). As others have said, it is dealer dependent.

Should be fine with 4.10s, but could argue that stock gears will allow better traction in lower gears. Along with making the lower gears more usable in general with the extra HP.

The only issue that probably isn't a big deal but if you drag race and have sticky tires the higher numerically the rear end the weaker the ring gear is since it has more teeth. I knew this but had to find out the hard way in another car. Sticky drag slicks with a 4.86 rear end (stock is 4.12), drop the clutch and "clunk" two teeth cleanly removed from ring gear.
