help: bang for the buck editing software

hey guys im looking to get a new software, i have used LR2 and PS but PS was way to complicated for me.

just wondering if you guys use or know of a really user friendly software for editing... and that will stitch pics together to create panoramics..

thanks!

oh yeah i have a macbook just in case it makes a difference.

For stitching panoramas, I have experience with PTgui and it works really well. Another one is called DoubleTake.

A cheaper alternative to LR3 is Aperture on the Mac. If you are looking for a PS alternative, then you can go with the really good Pixelmator.

The Digital Photographer magazine with Keira Knightly on the cover has Capture One Express included. I installed it yesterday. It's not Photoshop, but it's not bad for light editing and batch editing. Not too shabby for free (aside from the magazine cost) software.
