Same here. I was using 1800contacts but then found that my brand (focus night and day) were considerably cheaper at lens.com

Visiondirect.com and if you look on google, you can find couponcodes. I've been using them for years.

Anyone else annoyed that you now have to get your eyes checked yearly for contacts???? It's just annoying as fuck. Every 2 years was fine, every year though is just a pain in the ass??

Then wherever your getting them from is breaking the law. Unless it's an Ohio only law but it wasn't explained to me that way last time I saw the eye doctor.

They changed the mandatory contact exams from being bi-yearly to yearly and now require you either fax your prescription to online vendors or they contact your eye doctor to confirm your prescription.

The law was enacted because to many people were ordering contacts w/o a prescription and badly damaging their eyes. Those stupid fake contacts that gave you red eyes/cat eyes/devil eys etc. were also a major factor in the decision.

Yes. Lens.com requires a valid prescription for all contact lens orders. You can obtain a copy of your prescription from your doctor and forward it on to Lens.com, or you can simply provide Lens.com with the necessary information and we will verify it with your eye care provider.

Don’t Forget - Federal Law now requires your eye care provider to release a copy of your prescriptions. This allows you to take advantage of our low prices. Make sure to get a copy of your contact lens prescription, it belongs to you.
Contact prescriptions now must be renewed yearly to be valid.

I need it every year. Hell I wish I could go every 6 months. My eyes change too much after a year.

My prescription hasn't changed in 4+ years. Well it's changed slightly but not enough to change the overall power of the contacts. I would say I'm closing in on being a prime candidate for laser surgery. Can't wait The only downside is your not supposed to wear your contacts for a week or two prior to the surgery, now that will suck.

It'll be nice when I get to that point. Both of my eyes on my last prescription changed by .50. It's getting rediculous.

Hope you have glasses then. Otherwise I'd be screwed completely.

That would suck. Mine has been -2.50 since I was prescribed contacts years ago. And I do have glasses, a sweet pair of oakley wires. Best glasses I've ever had.

Damn that sounds scary. I really want lasik too and it's stories like these that make me hesitant. I don't fly though which those are the strictest of eye tests.
