I have word from reliable sources that BMW will be debuting their E94 M3 truck on April 1st, 2011.

You won't hear any objection from me. I've transported a push mower in my old E46 vert with the top down, and have put my bike in the back seat of my current E93 (with an old blanket to protect the seats of course). Wheels/tires too. It honestly makes a pretty good pickup even without the trunk and roof removed like these BMW guys have done.

I really don't think I would. BMW should not be all things to all people. It is the same reason I really like Apple as a brand. They are great at what they do. If they started building toasters, irons, and hairdryers I would lose interest in the brand. BMW is not and never should be a truck company. Even the X brand is pushing it although they are very good.
Porsche frankly has starting diluting their core values too with cars like the Panamera.
