Are you supposed to tip the Home Depot helper outside?

I'm redoing my sunroom and bought 8 pieces of ply wood 8'X4'...they are heavy as shit, well not heavy just really bulky and hard to carry alone...anyways the guy outside helped me load it onto my minivan...i gave him 10 bucks...hope he doesn't feel insulted?

do you guys tip helpers like that? I tipped the garden guy that helped me with top soil too...

$10 should be more than enough for them doing their job. Everything thinks they deserve a freakin tip these days for doing what they should already be doing.

I got a Town & Country beater/hauler vehicle...4'X8' fit perfect inside with the seats removed. I can haul 16 pieces or more easy...3.8L V6 helps

i doubt he felt insulted, most retail companies will tell there employess not to accept tips from customers because they are just doing there job, but they do anyways, so im sure he was appreciative either way

i used to work at home depot back in the days, one time a client came trying to buy some piece of wood which didn't have a barcode, it was late at night and i didnt' feel like looking for it so i gave it to him for free, 5 minutes later he comes, gives me his card and that's how i started my real estate carrier LOL

as a cashier sometimes we offer to help customers with their items, most of them gave tips from $5 to $20

then when you find them, they are typically uninterested and act dumb like you're asking them to help with you quantum physics.
