Drives: A metal box with a roundel

All I did was PnP'd the 4 sub-connectors and the power and ground wire. Not using the remotes. So it'll default to map 2 on the updated 9-5 map(assuming I already loaded that)?

You literally 'plug it into' the PnP harness. It's in the installation video.

Hey Shiv how about a valet map with a high boost map...I want the car to startup up with valet mode on default and map 1 is high boost....

im sure this has been asked but could not find it, but are you able to switch maps while under WOT? meaning, if im in low boost map flooring it, then switch to high boost...wont make things funky?

How do you enable valet mode? I have the remote and stage I map, and can switch between map 1 and 2. That I get. But how do I utilize the valet mode?

It probably wouldn't hurt the car, but was thinking why would there be a need to do this while the car is under WOT....What would be the deciding factor to something like this??

like messing around with someone late at night and just forgot to switch to map2 and realizing it in the middle of the event...other than that, i keep it in map2...i'll download the new map that defaults it to map2...

Basically you can only access the valet map at start up and is dependant if you have setup the engine revs to switch to valet or to a map in the ProCede Reader software .i.e....

1.) Rev threshold setup above engine startup revs = Valet Mode at start up.

2.) Rev threshold setup below engine startup revs = Map Mode at start up.

Note : once in Map Mode you can't go into Valet until you turn off and restart engine and it must be setup as step 1.) above.

If setup as step 2.) above, you will never be able to access the Valet Mode until you change the Rev threshold above engine startup revs and then to access a Map you will have to rev above this set point within 3 seconds of start up.

Confused..........I hope not.

Have these maps yet to be tested at high elevation? Meaning 6000' and above?

I've been meaning to load these and take the car out, but their doing all sorts of construction near my house and my nice road has turned into a mud pit. ugh

The part of Valet mode that was hard for me to understand is that in 1 (above), you rev to over the setpoint rpm to ENGAGE valet, but in 2 the car idles above the setpoint to DISENGAGE valet. That's what I didn't get, cause in both you're reving above the setpoint, one to turn it off, the other to turn it on.

That's how it works, it was just tricky to understand.
