The Marshall Mathers LP. The Eminem Show is also great, but I was just a little disapointed in Encore. Seemed forced. I understand Relapse is just that: a return to the Slim roots. Where can you listen to his new single?

Silly parent! The only thing your kid really wants to see is the top Transform If you're going to spend $$ for the M3 why not go for the vert? |

4 seater drop tops i thoroughly agree... that was my purchase criteria, I wanted a convertible that in a pinch could seat 4.
There are a couple of convertibles, namely 997, or SL that would give the m3 a run for it's money, but none are 4 seaters (the 997s backseat is a parcel shelf)...they are also more expensive the closest comparison I could think of is an XK or CLK, but the XK is not as sharp and has a soft-top and the CLK is a VERY dated platform and again softtop. the new CLK could be interesting though.... I agree with you, look wise here is how i see it. e92m>e93m>e90m. If the convertible come with a carbon roof and black windows trim like the coupe, then it would be the best looking. But 500 pounds does hurt performance alot. Whenever I had 2 pasengers in the back of my car, it handle like pig. |

Two comments:
1) I have a 3 year old and we both love breaking the car sidways...not saying I am father of the year but, just saying I have impulse control issues behind the wheel of my E92 and I can relate. 2) I was happy going without a sunroof, let alone a retractable roof, to gain better stability and performance. So, I have a hard time relating to the concept of a high performance convertible...M3, 911 or other. I would rather have a drop top luxury GT (Maserati, Mercedes). But, that is just one man's opinion. |

you totally screwed up. should've bought the sedan:
1) more room for impressionable youngsters curious about the fine art of burning out. 2) easier to initiate aforementioned burn out. 3) won't rustle the wife's hair, which is what she's really upset about, unless it's something else (did you check your 28 day calendar?). keep the rpms higher throughout the entire burnout so you get more spin and less hop. |

"So" much slower - 0-60 4.6 vs. 4.1-4.3? Quarter mile 12.6 to 12.8 vs. 13.0 to 13.1? 'vert skidpad 0.92 g? Again, do you have any data or experience to back these up, or are you just assuming things based solely on the fact that there is about a 450 lb weight penalty? Again, based on that link I attached above to the 3 track times for fastestlaps.com, that must mean there are a hell of a lot of non-convertible cars out there for the same or even more money (and without the benefits of top-down driving) that aren't "fun" to drive... |
