BMW Search (convenience package with BMW assist) Anyone have it?!?

Does ANYONE have the BMW convenience package which enables BMW Search? If so, please let me know.

It's starting to look like I'm the only person in history to have purchased this service...

keyword google searches, Email access, etc. It's a limited internet browser.

use it primarily to look up gas station prices nearby wherever I am. sometimes I'd also pull up stock market quotes when I'm bored. Still have not decided if I'll keep this service, since anyone with a blackberry or iphone (or anything on the 3G network) these days can easily perform most of the search functions...

Holy cow! There is one other person in the country who has it.

So, question for you... There is a menu spot with username & password options. Did you have to put anything there? Could you if you wanted to or is it grayed out?

As the functionality of it seems to vary depending on the literature you read and the country you are in, what can you actually do with it? Can you link an email account to it? Weather? (you said stocks, so that's good, and I knew you could search locations). Anything else?

And that's my EXACT problem. Based on the literature, it should be functioning. I've tried it in major metropolitan areas, well covered by AT&T Mobility GSM network.. Will let you know what happens with mine. Might be able to get yours fixed without sitting for a week...

I have it and it works. It's just slow. I don't use it often though. Only when my nav can't find a business.

Hey Jeff,
Yes, on my car the user name and password fields are available for me to enter my email address info.

I was under the impression that all US owners should have the same functionality. So as long as you are subscribed to the Concierge Service the stock market overview and the search function should be available, not sure why you or others have difficulty accessing... The search function is pretty much like a using yellow page service, thru your own car. Like I mentioned earlier and echoing what others have pointed out in other threads before this one, it's nothing one cant duplicate with his high speed mobile phone these days. I dont think I'll renew my service after it expires next year. A sample screen capture is attached below.
