If you have an AW and want to have the MW look, just don't wash the car and keep it dusty.
Yeah, my car always looks dusty, because the dust here is sparkly and adds a bright sheen to dirty vehicles . Give me a break. You seem to have a bone to pick with MW, are you annoyed with all of the attention it has been getting?

I don't think MW is less sporty on the M3, I personally think it adds something different to the M3 than it does to the 7 series. I also don't think most people will see the difference between MW/AW when driving around. When I was choosing, I placed the dealer's color chips side by side, MW is more stark white, AW is yellower, but again you can't even see it unless you have samples like that to place on top of each other.

My exact point can even be seen in the pictures above.. For some reason the AW looks bigger and more muscular and the MW looks smaller ..
Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the different angles the vehicles are at :P I think most people would be hard pressed to tell which color is which in that overexposed image.

I initially ordered mine in Mineral White after I kept hearing the "Everybody has AW" argument.. I even had a production number and all.. then 2 days later I saw them side by side and saw how the curves on the clean Alpine White just SCREEEEEMS!!!! sportive aggressiveness, while the Mineral White looked very grayish Luxury Lexus IS-Fish.. I immediately called, begged, and even offered to pay extra to my sales person to change it to Alpine White..

Fact is some of the more sportive mat and gloss black Mods like Carbon fiber accessories and powderer coated rims will not look right with luxury paint.. I was like many of the people here and was crazy about the NEW MW when first announced because I was under the assumption it would look like the Brilliant White.. TRUST ME IT DOES'NT.. It's darker and has a dusty grayish overtone.

The reason the Brilliant White works so well is because IT'S A REAL AND PURE WHITE much like Alpine is a pure white.. The Mineral White is an off grayish darker pearl white.. and I don't see Pearl working well with black and carbon fiber on a sports car..

Ask yourself this:
Would BMW introduce the 1M or any other Sports M model in grayish mineral white?

SOR: first of all you have a convertible and can't even get ZCP .. Which shows in my opinion more of a care or concern for luxury than sportiveness so MW on a E93 should do well for you with your top down in Utah, but I on this board I don't see that being the desired look for most city M fanatics in this board.

Read my previous post again.

I want a metallic white like brilliant white so bad. I'm praying that BMW makes this available as a non-individual E92 M3 color for MY2012, but somehow I'm betting no such luck. I also wouldn't mind seeing titaniun silver being offered as an alternative to silverstone. I wonder why BMW is offering such "weird" colors for the M3 instead of more standard ones that seem to make more sense?

MW is too gray. I don't like it.

The Mineral White is a horrible Lexus Luxury white, so play it safe and do AW..

I'm actually currently torn between AW and Silverstone.

Both are hot... Can't really go wrong with either as they are BMW colors..

I'm really not a fan of AW, it's not a color really (white is the absence of color)... The M3 looks great in AW on the brochure, but in person, to me, it's uneventful, bland, boring.

But I would buy a MW E92 in a heartbeat, it's a really gorgeous metallic finish.

On the other hand, I've seen Brilliant White in person and it looks great but almost a little to Lexus-like (must be the pearl).

MW is gorgeous

No question about it

I do think mineral white is less sporty looking than AW, but it's a great color and I probably would've ordered it with BB or FR non-extended leather if it were available on my E90
