How long does ship take to get to west coast?

Im sure this has been discussed, however can people tell me how long it took to get from germany to LA after it has been loaded to the ship?

My example mycar will be done may 18th.

I ask because i need to sell one of my cars to clear up some room before it comes.

Thanks!

Transit time from Bremen to Port Hueneme varies from 22 to 26 days.

Does anyone know when the next ship is scheduled to depart from Germany to the West Coast?

My vehicle is awaiting transport and has been "released to the carrier" as per BMW NA.

Also, I remember reading a thread that showed a way to track the ship as it travels the oceans... I would love to waste some time everyday and track my car!

The next departure from Bremerhaven (Bremen) is Medea on 22 May arriving in Port Hueneme 16 Jun, 25-day transit.

Medea is a WWL vessel so its schedule is listed on the WWL site...

http://www.2wglobal.com/

Choose "Schedules" under "Customer Tools".

As for actual tracking I would suggest...

http://www.sailwx.info/
http://www.digital-seas.com/
http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
http://www.vesseltracker.com/app
http://www.pancanal.com/eng/index.html (web cams)
http://iss-shipping.com/NewsSearchRe...px?countryid=3 (Daily Information Sheet - canal transits for that day)

Could happen...

Completes on the 18th
Released to AG and carrier on the 19th
Transported to port on the 20th/21st
Released to shipper/loaded on vessel on the 22nd

It does seem to take 4 days after completion so you are right there. I have had cars make this schedule more than once. I think being Priority 1 makes the difference.

I believe depending on the amount of cars they have to prep and if you're vehicle is a Priority-1 car or not anywhere between 1 - 3 days.

Could be wrong but this is what I've heard

+1

That's pretty much been my experience with the Oxnard VPC as well.
