gloss black painting zcps on a lease?

Was just wondering if painting my rims would void my lease? 'm going to guess yes but its worth a shot to ask! I pretty much plan to buy the car once the lease is up but you never know...
Also, if it turns out that its ok, anyone recommend any good spots with reasonable prices around the NJ area to get this done??
Thanks guys.

I'm not an expert, but I'm not sure you can "void" a lease. At the very least BMW could make you pay to restore the car/wheels to original I would think.

You won't "void" the lease, but you'll probably be asked to return wheels to original condition and/or purchase new wheels.

You might be better off just getting another set of wheels and then just reselling when you return your car.

When you lease don't you get $7500 worth of damages included for when it comes to giving the car back? I know this covers things like worn out tires and windshields etc so I'm sure it could count for this too. Also, it's not like if they took the car back, there wouldn't be someone that comes in wanting black ZCP rims for an M3 they're picking up, they could just swap them to satisfy the customer at no extra cost.

Anyhow the $7500 thing is a definite in Canada, I'm sure someone from the US will correct me if the same rule doesn't apply there.

Was not expecting $2600! I guess I shouldn't be that surprised though. Anyways, what are the chances that someone would end up wanting to trade orignal oem's for my flood black ones if I painted them?? Basically I would be dropping alot less then buying a whole new set.

Turner has them for 2200. What did you expect for a set of OEM 19 inch wheels that were put on the m3 GTS, the fastest track car bmw current makes? 1000 bucks like a set of VMR's or what?

OP just powdercoat em, when it's time to give up the lease if you cannot have them then just trade with somebody, trust me you won't have a problem in doing so. Also, you could even make 200/300 bucks on top. But that's like 36 months away so fuck it get it done and enjoy the new ///M. Congrats.

Might want to reconsider modding a car that you don't own. Definitely have to pay for new wheels when you turn it back in if you don't buy it.

You won't have to pay anything.... I've powdercoated the wheels on 6 leased vehicles and just gave them back and was never charged a penalty... If your looking for a great place to get them done look up auto couture motoring... Great service and pricing... Gloss black looks good but shows a lot I'm having mine redone in the spring

I used PlastiDip and sprayed my ZCP wheels black. It's a Matt finish, looks great, and I can simply peel it off when I want to.
Cost $50, took half a day

Just like black paint on the car itself.... If you really want gloss I would suggest waxing them once every few weeks
