Please post sound clips of Turner Test Pipes w/ Active Autowerke Exhaust

I've searched all over the forum and also on youtube but haven't come across any sound clips of this exact setup...Turner Test Pipes with the AA exhaust on an E9x M3. I see a lot of people with the AA exhaust only, or AA exhaust and xyz x-pipe, etc.

I live in South Carolina, no inspection here, so I plan on doing a primary cat delete using the Turner Test Pipes and either keeping the OEM muffler or trying out the AA. I know it could be pretty loud with the AA and Turner Pipes...I see a lot of members selling their AA because it's too loud for them.

If anyone has sound clips of the Turner Test Pipes with OEM muffler and / or clips of the Turner Test Pipes along with an AA exhaust please post a link.

Thanks!

With a real x pipe the car will sound exotic with turner tp's the car will sound a bit louder and raspier then rear section only. I prefer the xpipe sound alot more.

That hasn't been my experience at all.

the Akrapovic x pipe, Challenge sport, Innotech X pipe and TTPs all had the same tone, but differed in loudness. The Akrapovic was the most metallic sounding and had a bit more resonance. The Challenge was just louder.

Rasp was the same.

Thanks for the info, I've read a few of your threads...would probably be easier for you to list the setups you haven't used rather than ones you've tried haha!

For $400 I figured I'd give the test pipes a try. If I found an xpipe used for a great price then maybe I'd go that route but I'm more interested in the ttp setup right now.

Here is my car with the Innotech cat bypass, Innotech X-pipe and stock muffler. If you retain the stock muffer, there will be rasp no matter what.

The turner test pipes sounded the worst IMO. The gintani x pipe gave it a totally different sound and for the better

Most of my close friends commented on it too. Said the car sounded better on stock x pipe (gintani rear). But then when i swapped the x pipe for the catted gintani it sounded out of this world.

Another thing i didnt like about the TTPs was the random cheap sounding backfire and crackle it would emit from time to time.

Power was the same as my test pipes so the bang for your buck on these pipes is 95% of a catted x at least. My car picked up 28whp

The Turner test pipes just delete the primary cats from what I understand but please correct me if I am mistaken. That should leave the secondary cats and oem resonators in place since the oem x-pipe is still there. This setup (stock resonators in place) should help with the rasp compared to your setup with the Innotech X-pipe wouldn't it?

Cool, I would be interested to hear that setup and hear about the ttp install.

I will be keeping my stock x-pipe though... so with the OEM secondary cats and resonators it could sound a bit different.

Sounds sick, thanks for posting! I have the AA exhaust on my E46 with borla mid-pipes and have been pretty happy, two different animals I know but AA makes a quality product. Some people on the forums think the AA E92 exhaust is way too loud but based on the videos I've seen I like it a lot.

How's the noise level inside the cabin?

Did you have to cut the xpipe or do the primary cats on the fabspeed bolt on/off?

We will have our test pipes released shortly. I believe we will be the only ones to retain the stock bracket location. Includes all nuts/bolts and gaskets.

Please Pm me if you have any questions regarding any of our products.
