Executive package is sun shades, Pdc, audiophile, etc...

Congratulations, beautiful colour choice - when it's clean as you mentioned. Looking forward to your thoughts on the DCT vs 6MT when you get it, there's just not enough info on this dilemma on the site

Update: paperwork done for the transfer of the car to my dealer so when it arrives in port, it's mine... I always worry about these details especially since the original dealership initially refused to let us take the car the first time we asked for it. I pushed my dealership on this as I really wanted the FR interior and they pulled some strings to make it happen... I hope this wasn't a car intended for someone else and now they have to wait longer (highly doubt that but who knows ).

Ordered OEM Edition black chrome front grilles and side gills and Jerez painted reflectors from Nate at IND... will install on delivery. I also bought some Cquartz sealant for my post delivery detail. Suffice it to say that I am VERY excited for the car to arrive... my SA is hoping to deliver it before next weekend

Congratulations you lucky bugger!!!!! Black is sure gonna take some work to maintain but it will look awesome when clean and shiny........ Just make sure to tell the dealer not to wash it or clean it in any way, don't want any dealer installed swirls on the car before you even get it!!!!!

One question though, you keeping the Akra and putting it on the new car????

Dealer has already been instructed

Akra is gone to a new home I had two clients comment on it to me (not that they loved it but in the context of something is wrong with my car) and I decided that as much as I loved it, it would have to go. I worry enough about clients seeing me in the M3 so I worried even more when it had the Akra on it... it was a sad day...

You're worrying me now Jamie.

gthal, I understand your comments regarding clients. I wear different watches depending on whom I'm visiting. Not because I have a lot of money to throw around on cars and watches, but because I'm a car guy with a minor watch fetish. Some area's of the World you don't wont to seem overly opulent, especially if you are trying to sell them something.

That one of the reasons that I have an F150 & M3 to drive to clients. There is a good client of mine who gave me a hard time about my M3 at the time that I am probally too expensive to deal with.Show up with a $68000 pickup and he thinks that is great!

No doubt..... 70K for an M3 is too much but 70K for a Pick-up is ok...... sounds like fort McMurray. Lots of people up here (and I mean lots) have 1 Ton Diesel trucks that are lifted with big tires and 500+HP. Many of those trucks cost way over 100K with the mods and those guys think I have a lot of money tied up in my car and make comments like "must be nice driving an M3".

Apparently spending money on a truck is not the same as spending the same amount of money on a car.

Heath, maybe you should buy a pickup to impress the clients, they will think you have less money even though you may have spent more.

I told the dealer if they washed my car or even removed the shipping plastic (inside or out) I would not buy it!!! Hows that for being anal?

I'm kind of screwed there having paid for my car back in February.

I wonder what kind of condition my car shipped in after ED? (plastic etc...?)

Probably went bare back. Poor thing.

That is OK, just tell the dealer not to wash it...... the shipping companies don't generally damage paint on the cars if they have to wash them. I am pretty sure they just use high pressure and not sponges/mitts/brushes like the dealers. The problem with dealers is they use the same wash water and sponges/mitts/brushes and chamois on a ton of cars. By the time they wash yours the sponges/mitts/brushes and chamois are like sandpaper and destroy your finish.

Agree with everyone here. My clients/patients can see what I drive, as I park just around the corner from my office building. Luckily, the E90 is much more discreet. If I ever get a P-car, I'll have to leave that at home during the week and drive a beater to work!

Welcome to red neck Alberta. I work in a historically "conservative" vocation myself and our parking lot at work is littered with 3/4 ton diesels, which as you say, cost in excess of $80k. Yet, even when I purchased my $55k "BMW" 335i it was a big deal. I was known as "that" guy that drives a BMW

When the fellas found out that I was ordering an M3, I was questioned as to why I didn't buy a Camaro SS or even a Challenger SRT!

Here is the boat and location of the car... It arrives Sunday morning... I should definitely be driving it sometime next week as I can see the port from my office

LOL - I plan to Jamie! I may pick up a new M6 vert when they are out feed my new car need. (I usually buy a new car every 2.5 years, so I am due lol)

I will probably keep my car for a while - just need a 3 or 4 car garage

Scratch the itch Jay... scratch the itch.

In my experience, the itch does NOT go away until sufficiently scratched. My wife just reminded me that this is my 5th car in the last 6 years I kind of lost track... I really have to stop now... OK, let's try this... "I, Heath, hereby pledge to not get another car for a while" There I feel better

How do you stay married?
My wife indulges my automotive fripperies so long as there are years between purchases.
