Sorry, messed it up, managed to delete the photos, here they are again... And, no don't have photos of the white light under outside handles or the red light under the inside door trims.

Generally no, it tells you to shift up quite early and if you give it some revs in lower gears then you could easily go from 3rd into 6th when prompted, possibly even from 2nd (but I need to check the latter).

Outside under door handle light is bright and fairly focussed, for puddles? The red lighting inside is unintrusive.

Jerez, I can't remember if you had an E46 M or not but if you did, do you miss the amber color of the main instruments at night compared to the white ones?

Never owned an E46 M3 but a friend has had one for about 3 years or so. I know his car well and would say that the white instruments take the overall look and feel to the next level.
