Anyone have their software updated to 231E??

Has anyone in the DMV had their OEM software updated to the latest version, either by the dealer or 3rd party? If so, who did it, how much of a hassle was it, in warranty/out of warranty, and how much did it end up costing you?

I don't think my 08 has ever been updated...

Thanks!

Never done it, it'll cost around $180-$220. From what I've gathered on the forums they won't do it for free unless there's something broken, even if you're still under free maintenance/warranty. Why do you need one?

i'm interested in doing this if someone is doing a big batch of coding. If we can do it for $95, hell ya, sign me up. BTW, it's up to 243E now.

I got it done at my dealer for $140. They have to update everything, not just the ECU--it's every single module in the car.

This is assuming you have the Evolve cable/tune already though.

Doing this upgrade in person is easy. We do it all the time. It's when you want it done remotely that it gets more complicated. In either scenario though, it's something we deal with on a daily basis. Normally we do a Stage 1 or Stage 2 tune when doing this work so that customers can take full advantages of the costs associated.

Thanks!
For those in SoCal that do not want to go to the dealer, We've done this as well. Its not a difficult process on our end.

Updating only takes about 20-30 min and proper procedures are followed to prevent any issues or mishaps. Dyno sessions are also available.

got mine done for $70. i think he charged me 0.5 hrs and my car has never been updated once since bought brand new back in 08. everything is better about the new update. car pulls harder, drives alot smoother, and brakes seem to stop better.
