Xpipe or test pipes is a must with a supercharger. You're probably leaving 75hp on the table with a stock xpipe and supercharger.
Test pipes would do if you're on a budget or an Akra xpipe if you're feeling fancy for the weight savings from the titanium construction. Also note the location of the 'X' crossover. The closer to the headers, the more power it makes. ESS, Bimmerworld and Gintani are examples of this. Go to YouTube and listen to setups. Pick one you like. |

The bimmerworld X pipe moves the X closer to the headers than any other X pipe ( By a large margin too). That's why it's the best, and it's also competitively priced. It's on sale for $800 for the next few days. No brainer

Excuse my ignorance but why does it matter if the merge is closer to the headers? What if they merge twice?

Has to do with exhaust pulse scavenging. The sooner you merge the pulse of the two banks, more it's supposed to improve scavenging. Search the engine masters video on xpipe vs hpipe, they talk about it.
YouTube has a video of a mustang merged 3x, didnt bother to watch. I suppose you dont know until you try it. |
