Dyno results!!! From NA to ESS Custom blower on e85

Hey everyone!

I have some dyno results that I thought everyone would like.

I purchased my e92 m3 which had ipe exhaust and an ess tune. The power was fun but just not enough for me. I decided to head over to RK Tunes for some extra work.

I purchased a tune from them and got out on the dyno. Here is what my numbers looked like:

Esstune & ipe exhaust: 359whp
RK tune(93oct) & ipe exhaust: 376whp
RK tune(93oct) & ipe exhaust + AA pulley: 386whp
RK tune(e85) & ipe exhaust, AA Pulley: 397whp
RK tune(e85) & ipe exhaust, AA Pulley + MS intake: 403whp

These numbers were great being an NA car but I was itching for more naturally. I decided to contact ESS and they hooked me up big time with a 625 kit. I can't thank them enough. The OTS ESS Kit changed the car and made me fall in love all over again. The power was linear and I was kicking ass! The only problem is that I was losing to Bolt-on NA v8's and that pissed me off. Time to visit RK again.

I purchased id1050's, and a smaller pulley. Originally I was going to go with a 3.60" pulley but at the last second I decided on a 3.48" pulley. The morning of the tubing I got everything installed. Onto the dyno we go.

Here are results from an ESS625 Kit with id1050's, and a 3.48" vortech pulley:
93oct: 599whp/422wtq
E85: 677whp/461tq

I couldn't be happier. I know that I might need to turn it down to save my motor and clutches but to do multiple pulls at this level was telling. This motor can make some JAM. time to see what happens on the highway!

Please don't hesitate to contact me with question.

Nice, that whp must scare the shit out of you when it starts pulling!.. what a rush! What clutch are you gonna go for? I have a SPEC organic clutch I'm gonna install for my ESS kit. Do you have slippage rn? Assuming you're 6 speed..

Nice gains.

Stock fuel pump with upgraded injectors? What's the AFR at redline? I can't read the numbers on the dyno if I zoom in too much (on mobile site).

Oh, and what bolt on NA V8's were you loosing to with a 625kit?

I was losing to 6th gen camaro's with cam/headers... they make about 550whp when tuned right. Also corvette c6z06's. Those cars are fucking animals. H/c/I they trap 130+.

Not sure what my afr was honestly.

Maybe you aren’t making on the street what you made in RK’s dyno. Could be heat soak timing pull if 93, but probably not if E85 unless timing pull is IAT related rather than due to octane.

The 625 kit has the wrong size injectors in many educated people's opinion. He was probably making less than 550rwhp with the ESS tune and regular injectors. I'd be interested to see the dyno with the stock tune vs Jordan's.

Where did you get the injectors from OP?

I wonder, cause I'm doing the same setup just with a gintani kit.

I would guess I was at around 520whp based on all of the runs I had. 550whp Camaro would pull on me. I would beat 500whp f80's.

Only Injectors and smaller pulley I added.

So you were losing to the bolt on V8s before the smaller pulley and bigger injectors. Have you gotten them to run again now that you have increased power?

Does rk tunes only provide in house tuning for supercharged m3s? Interested in this.

Things may have changed, but from my previous experience, he sent a data logging cable, you do some wot pulls, he reviews the logs and adjusts your tune remotely. Repeat a few more times. I didn't go on a dyno, although that would be more ideal.
