Lowering question...

When lowering the m3, is it a wise idea to lower the front and rear the exact same amount? I know springs on the market right now lower more in the front and less in the rear, does that throw off balance or geometry of the car? There is obviously more gap in the front but I'm assuming bmw designed it that way for a reason. Any thoughts?

No issues. Just use one of the big names and you'll be fine.

I was planning on picking up kw clubsports and wanted to know if i should lower the car the same amount front & rear.

If doing coilovers you can pretty much lower it to where you want it. Have it corner weighted/balanced so you can bring her back to 50/50.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't corner balance make the right and left side equal, not front and rear.

Corner balance can tweak the weight distribution front to rear, but only to a certain extent due to the weight distribution of the car. Corner/weight balance left to right can be tuned much more effectively.

If your car's purpose is for the street, go with Eibach or Dinan and I honestly don't think you will feel a difference in handling on the street. If your car does see the track, a set of quality coil overs is probably worth the investment.

You question is multi-faceted and depends on what you are trying to achieve i.e, stance, performance oriented..

Moderate rear-front rake would be fine i suppose.
