POSTED BY ONE OF THE ACURAZINE FORUM MEMBERS.

the daughter actually stole the car from her father (she didn't have permission to take it out); combine that w/ the fact that she was believed to be intoxicated at the time.

The father had called the car in and reported it stolen and said he knew his daughter had taken it. There were also numerous calls from bystanders who reported her driving irratically on the freeway (this is what i heard from a co-worker that use to be a Lake Forrest deputy and still has friends out there)

In light of the photographs, that's a poor choice of words.

ill agree, its a bit disrespectful.

I am used to these types of photographs, I dont really get affected nor do i feel it affects me.. I really am a beleiver in metaphysics, and so seeing this is really nothing extremly... I have thought about this before, and in life What does this photograph mean? what is death? etc...

once at night....around 1 a.m. or so..i got an urgent call from family....so...i decided to make a quick trip....quick literally meaning FAST 'N' FURIOUS....blasting down the freeway between 110 mph to 155 mph...i noticed a car zig zagging along from behind....finally i get cut off by some light traffic...the white car kept up and rolls up beside....i was just in a rush so just gun'd it when there was room....the white car keeps up....i'm creepin' back up to about 130 mph....and slowly going faster...when i see the white car just "wiggle" for a split second...i slam on the gas reach past 140 mph...i'm watching my right side mirror...the white car "wiggles" left...than it does 90 degree spin to the right...and literally slams into the right side wall dead on....all this in a matter of 2 seconds max...going 130+ mph....all i saw was a puff of smoke....i always wondered if the kid ever survived....

For those who haven't looked at the photos, don't. The girl has half of her head shredded and the other half missing.
Sorry for bringing back an old thread but after reading the above I'm glad I haven't looked at the pictures yet. I remember seeing a picture by accident of a kid who stuck an M80 fire cracker in his mouth and his face pretty much exploded. That was the grossest thing I've even seen and from the description you guys are giving, I'm guessing this is worse.

I have a feeling at some point I'm going to get so curious that I'm going to have to click on that link but it's not going to be tonight. Probably tomorrow. Otherwise I won't be able to sleep.

So, is the girl decapitated in the pictures? Anyone want to make a really small like avatar size image of one of the pictures? I might be able to swallow looking at it if the picture doesn't take up my whole screen. I'll get scared.

100MPH car + crash + wall doesn't do it for me. If it were a BMW she could have walked away and the damage would have buffed right out. Unfortunately, she was driving a Porsche.

No, I haven't seen FD3. I did see FD2 though. Anything to reference in there?

Are there no more closeups on that link? Can you resize one of the pictures and post it here real small? Like 100x100 pixels?

Yes, it looks like the original photos are down now. Good thing, IMO.

http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/alton.asp

This has the non-graphic photos, but you can imagine what someone would look like if belted into the car that hit the toll booth. Her head looked like a stump with a bowl of spaghetti poured on it. Be thankful you didn't see it, and in all seriousness, it should make you think twice about driving on the edge.

To be honest, while I don't want to or intend on dying anytime soon, I know the risks of driving fast and if that were to happen to me no doubt it would suck, a lot, but it truly wouldn't be the end of the world. And I'm sure it was over for her in less than a second. I'll bet she didn't even feel it because the pain would have been so intense in milliseconds that she would have passed out instantly. That would be very scary though waking up from the accident in spirit form and seeing your body and brain split in two laying on the pavement (imagine the movie Ghost, if you saw that).

Pretty gruesome. I googled it, and, fortunately or unfortunately, found the pics.

Sounds to me like she was trying to kill herself, going that fast approaching a tollbooth. A part of me misses being a teenager, but the other part of me then quickly knocks that part of me in the back of the head, and I wake up. Being that age certainly has its highs and lows.

During my search I learned that the parents are doing their best to remove the pics from the internet, and that she had 3 younger sisters. I won't post a link.
