BMW CCA Event on July 13-14 @ Spring Mountain in danger of being cancelled
We need a few more dozen people to sign up for the BMW CCA Event on July 13-14 over at Spring Mountain (near Las Vegas) so it does not get cancelled. For the folks in the CA/NV/AZ area, Spring Mountain is a great technical track (the 3.1 mile version) similar to Buttonwillow and Chuckwalla. Here's the link to register and to the track website....

Sucks. I'm guessing it's cancelled.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I got an email survey from the CCA asking whether or not I would go in December if they moved the date (and doubled down on the deposit).
I'd be much more inclined to go in December, that's for sure. July sounds tough out there with the heat. It's one thing being in a Vegas pool with a Coors Light in hand, but tracking a car when it's 110+ sounds a bit much. Maybe I'm a wuss, but that just sounds miserable. They didn't mention any dates and we all know that the holiday months fill up with parties and travels quickly so it's hard to give a positive yes. July coupled with the fact that I'm driving to Laguna Seca for Oktoberfest in August just sounded like too much money and driving and hotels. |

Working Registration link.
Just submitted the survey, sad to hear they may lose the deposit. The facilities are Spring Mountain seem pristine, I would've gone if it wasn't for scheduling. Anyone else been?
