About clicking noise from my E92 M3....

I've found many threads about this symptom and I fully understand that the main bearing has to be replaced. My question is that these BMW dealers are really busy in these days and they want me to bring the car on next friday... and I am wondering if the main bearing problem can cause other serious issues or not. I've heard that the problem eventually can cause some damage on the engine so..

here you can hear the clicking noise on my m3 that im having..

I wouldn't expect a main to sound like that. I have head bad mains and rod bearings and they sound nothing close to that.

Also, because it is not constant (pauses between ticks), it makes me think it is something else, but I am no mechanic.....

Let us know what you find out.

I'm a bit confused as to what sound you actually have, since you used a video of someone else's car in your OP. But, if it does sound like that, then you should *search*, b/c that particular tick has been discussed before (years ago). And, if that is the case, it's most likely not a main bearing, since I've been beating on my engine for years since the sound came and went. Good luck.
