M3 - electronic valve controlled exhaust!! Groupbuy?

Hi guys...

Right...my mates company - Prestige Performance has a new exhaust system that has just come though for the e9x M3s.

It is an electronic valve controlled exhaust...this has never been done so far in the uk for the e9x M3s....dont think its even done abroad yet?

Anyways...the exhaust sounds roar...can be set on normal mode for when you dont want the noise etc...or can set the valve to open so its like a straight pipe...making your car sound like more like a formula 1 car!!

Its very similar to this on fitted to an M6:

Im thinking of having the system put on...It will retail for over 3k..but if i can get about 3-4 orders then I can get it down to about £2400!!

Whos intrested?

Hi, no dyno runs...has never been fitted yet...They want to fit it to my car but i would have to buy it...which i am willing to do if another 2 people buy the exhaust too so we get lower price.

It is pretty much the same system as the M6 in the video.

Would anyone be intrested in getting this done?

I'd like to know

Is this is full system or just cat back?
How many cats?
What is the system made from inc welds and sound absorbing material?
Weight compared to stock?
Warranty?
Power and torque gains and their RPM, proven on independent dyno?
CEL issue?
Will it pass the MOT?
Noise in decibels at idle, at 30mph crusing, 70mph crusing and full throttle etc?

Hold up - you would buy an exhaust without knowing the full details of what you're getting? Do they know it even fits properly?

How can they tell all that yet, as the OP has stated one hasn't been fitted yet

It should be part of the requirements. Ie, this is what we want the exhaust to do etc. You don't believe that Akropovic cut and weld up some pipes to make an exhaust without having any requirements? The final product will meet those requirements, ie minimum of what I've listed.

I might start making exhausts in my shed and sell them here.......

Hi mate...

Yes i would buy it without knowing the full details..as Marcus said - he did.

This thread was to get ideas of who would be intrested/willing to spend that much for the system...I personally dont know too much about the exhaust yet. But i can trust them that it will fit as they wont just sell it to me if it does not. I know them very well and they arent just any company to talk rubbish. They might use my car to test fit and to get videos, pics n dyno etc...then i can do a review on it.

Heres the company: www.ppcgb.com

anyways, il try get more details soon hopefully.
