Cost of being a guy
Hey guys,(sorry girls) for one of my business classes, on average how much do you spend on gifts( flowers, chocolates, etc) for your significant others, how much do you spend on a flower bouquet? etc...how much when youve fucked up, and how much for regular occasions like v day,etc..

Probably $35-50 on flowers. Around $200-300 for special gifts

And you can pretty much expect answers likes this... Without other intangibles it's nearly impossible to get a baseline for this kind of question... Someone who's 19 might not have same expectations as someone who's like, 48... Married men or single guys trying to get into a girls panties? Ultimately, you might want to set a parameter that we men usually measure the gift value on;
How badly did we fack up?? |

Or someone who is like 68, married for 41 years to the same wonderful lady. I can't even measure the cost versus the benefits

Clearly Lup's husband is NOT familiar with that saying... Which is why she's contemplating adding another F8X into the garage to piss him off... |

This. If you have to spend more than this, you're doing it wrong.

We have a winner! On a serious note, most expensive for me, I bought my wife a 1974 BMW 2002 Tii for our 20th anniversary. It has been her dream car since we started dating... Typical for b-day or anniversary is a nice dinner out, maybe some small piece of jewelry she has her eye on. Aside from the car she is pretty low maintenance.

I'm married and I spend about $100 per flower bouquet and around $1000 for birthday gift and on very special occasions, I spend about $5000+ for the handbags.

Haha, he doesn't bitch when he finds out we have extra mouths living in our house, he doesn't wonder why we have a huge walk in closet full of strangers stuff and my clothes are in his closet, he makes sure my cooking knives are sharp and loads the dish washer.
We are not big on gifts and vacation time is shared. In the USA we have no family members to take the kids off of our hands, and he travels a lot for his job, so his four weeks is spent by him and the kids, while I go burn my tires. As an exchange he gets three hot meals per day, he doesn't need to know how to change oils, he knows I handle the shit that lands on our porch and that if I spot his bicycle tire being low on air, I change the tire before he takes off in the morning. The few times ive gotten home all messed up, limping, tired, with a black eye and all sorts of pissed he hands me a beer, and tells me there is an other fight still in me. When ever a kid is sick and i can't sleep, eat or handle anything beyond waiting the moment I doze off to wake up with my nightmares again, he takes over all the family routines. That isn't flowers or candy but it works for us. And I keep losing my socks.

My wife and I don't exchange presents for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Easter, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Mothers/Fathers Day, New Years, Black History Month, Hispanic Month, Boss' Day, etc... We normally do things together and that is good enough for the both of us.
